Nightly Practice Parties

Blue Suede Ballroom Dance Parties or Social Dance Parties are open to the public, and all ages and levels are invited to attend. Parties provide a fun and relaxing atmosphere to practice what you learn in private lessons or in the group classes. Social dancing improves your floorcraft and partnering skills and can give you the opportunity to socialize with your fellow dancers. You dance in a warm and friendly environment in a large and well cooled room.

Practice parties are opportunities to “test drive” your new steps, and develope better “muscle memory”. The music selection includes: Swing, Waltz, Salsa, Tango, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Foxtrot, West Coast Swing, etc.

In addition, instructors are available to answer questions if you can’t remember how a pattern starts, or which dance you should do to each song. Visually seeing what a dance can look like when it is mastered, practicing moving around the floor without crashing into others, training your ear to quickly decide what dance goes to each piece of music-these are all valuable learning tools you can only find at a dance party.
